Ir Prof Louis LOCK, Council Member (CAD Representative) of the HKIE, Past Vice President of InstMC, Past Chairman and Honorary Advisor of InstMC HK, Dr Lisa Sham, Observer of the CAD of the HKIE and InstMC HK, Dr Gary TSE, Chairman and Mrs. Leticia TSE, Observer of InstMC HK visited the headquarters of InstMC in London on 2nd May 2019. In the meeting, Ir Prof LOCK and Dr TSE shared with Miss Stephanie SMITH, the CEO, Mr Colin HOWARD, Honorary Treasurer and Miss Leila ATHERTON, Director of Membership and Registration of InstMC about the current development of the instrument & control industries in Greater Bay Area and the Reciprocal Recognition Agreement (RRA) between the HKIE CAI Discipline & InstMC. Miss SMITH appreciated the synergy effort of the HKIE CAI Discipline/Division & InstMC HK to promote the professional standing to the members in Hong Kong and China especially in Greater Bay Area. She briefly described the recent development of the InstMC and committed to render full support to the HKIE CAI Discipline/Division events with InstMC HK. They were invited to join the 75th Anniversary Dinner of InstMC at Royal Lancaster Hotel in London that evening. During the dinner, Prof Graham MACHIN, President of InstMC conferred the Honorary Fellowship to Ir Prof LOCK, in recognition of his vast contributions to the Institute and the related engineering profession in Hong Kong and China. Also, he presented the Certificate of Recognition to Dr TSE for increasing membership in Hong Kong, China and Macau by 20% during 2018.
